The Move Report is a review, not a search engine and not a marketplace. Here is exactly what it does with the document you upload, what you can send it, and what it will not claim.

What you can upload
- Send the original digital PDF from your mover
- That is what the review is built for: a document where prices, totals, payments and key terms are machine-readable text rather than pixels.
- PDF, JPG or PNG are accepted
- Up to 20 MB and 15 pages. The file picker accepts all three formats, but a photograph or an image-only scan has no text to read.
- Photos, image-only scans and handwritten amounts are not supported
- Handwritten signatures, initials and dates are fine — it is handwritten financial figures that cannot be relied on.
- Send the complete estimate, including its terms
- A term that does not appear in what you upload cannot appear in your report. If the terms are on a separate page you did not send, they are outside what we can check.
What happens behind the scenes
- Your document is read and recorded as printed
- Figures, dates and terms are transcribed as they appear, not paraphrased. Where the paperwork is ambiguous, the report says so rather than resolving it for you.
- The company is checked against federal records
- The USDOT or MC number on your estimate is looked up in FMCSA's official registration records: operating authority, household-goods authority, insurance on file, and broker bond.
- Every finding is tied back to its source
- Before a finding reaches your report, the exact sentence it relies on has to be located in your own paperwork. A finding whose supporting text cannot be found is listed as unconfirmed, with the page for you to check yourself.
- What the paperwork says is kept separate from what the records say
- A claim on your estimate and a fact in a federal database are different kinds of evidence, and the report never merges the two into a single assertion.
- The rules decide, not the model
- Every conclusion is produced by a fixed set of rules written against the federal household-goods regulations. The model reads and quotes; the rules decide what you are told.
- One company per report
- One report covers one estimate from one company, read page by page. Weighing up two movers? Run a separate check on each — keeping them apart is what lets every conclusion stay traceable.
Your document, and what happens to it
- Your file is stored privately and used only for your analysis and for looking into any problem with it.
- Your uploaded file is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- It is never used for advertising, and it is never sold.
- No moving company or broker is given your document or your details.
- Your finished report stays available at its own private link, which only you have.
What The Move Report does not do
- It does not choose a mover for you, and it does not recommend or reject any company.
- It does not tell you whether a company is a scam. It reports what your documents and the official records say, in plain factual terms.
- It does not price your move or tell you what it should cost, and it is not compared against averages.
- It does not guarantee savings, and it does not guarantee that a problem will be detected.
- It is not a marketplace. We will never introduce you to a mover or sell your details to one.
- It is not legal advice. The report is informational.
- It is not a human review service. The analysis is automated, and every finding is tied to the source it came from so you can check it yourself.
Questions people ask first
Do I have to pay to see anything?
No. The company verification and any serious registration problem are shown in full, free, before you decide anything. The $29 full report is the detail behind it.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and no password. Your finished report lives at an unguessable private link that only you have.
Will you contact my mover?
No. Nothing is ever sent to the moving company or the broker, your details are never sold or passed on, and no mover will contact you because you used The Move Report.
What happens to my document?
Your uploaded document is stored privately, used only for your analysis and for looking into any problem with it, and deleted within 30 days. It is never used for advertising and never sold.
What if my estimate cannot be read?
If too little of the document could be read to be worth paying for, we say so and do not charge you.
Does this work for a move within one state?
Not yet. The Move Report covers U.S. interstate household-goods moves. A move inside a single state is regulated by that state rather than by FMCSA, and is outside what we can check.
Is this legal advice?
No. The report is an automated informational review. It may contain errors or omissions, and important information is worth verifying with the mover, FMCSA, or a qualified professional before you act on it.
